Years of commercial fishing on the water is what sparked the creation the Kraken Spoon. When i first got into fishing I started using the most widely known and available option, a clark spoon.
Price: Our competitors spoons were reasonably priced when i first started fishing, today they have reached prices of almost $75 for a dozen vs a Kraken Spoon @ $42 a dozen.
Durability: The major drawback on our competitors spoons that i did not like was the bead in the front. After a day of heavy use the bead would break off making it difficult to tie the spoon to my line. So when designing Kraken Spoons we cut that part out and replaced it with a heavy duty split ring. A swivel can be attached to allow the spoon to swim more freely.
Weight and Castibility: Our competitors spoons are also lighter than I wanted so in windy and choppy conditions they are difficult to cast and tend to come out to the water. Kraken spoons weigh significantly more than other spoons on the market which allows you to cast them with ease in wind and keeps them from skipping out of the water when retrieving them.
We also pop rivet our hooks into place because there is nothing more annoying than getting to the spot after a long run and finding out the screw holding the hook in place vibrated out...
Tight lines and maximum blood on deck.
